Choosing from the best Loksewa institutes in Kathmandu starts with your exam goal. A class for Kharidar may not cover the papers you need for a bank or an engineering post. Your budget, travel time and need for help also matter.

This guide compares 10 institutes from Sandhi Academy’s original list. You will find their course focus, contact numbers and key questions to ask before you join. Use it to make a shortlist, then check the current batch with each institute.

About this list: Sandhi Education Academy publishes this guide and is included below. The order follows our original article. It is an editorial list, not an official PSC ranking. Contact numbers are retained from that article; please confirm the current office, fee and batch before you visit or pay.

Top 10 Loksewa preparation institutes: a closer look

1. Sandhi Education Academy

Sandhi Education Academy is in Bagbazar, near Padmakanya Campus. It offers physical and online classes for students preparing for public service exams. Its course list includes Kharidar, Nayab Subba, Section Officer, banking and NEA subjects.

The academy’s website describes daily and weekly tests, with feedback on weekly exams. If you need a set study routine, ask how these tests fit into the batch you plan to join.

Start with the current Sandhi course list. Check which papers the fee covers and when the next batch starts. For online study, ask for a look at the learning app and a sample lesson.

Before you join: Confirm class hours, access to recordings and how teachers review written answers. Ask whether you can attend a demo class.

Contact number: 9851136560
Location: Bagbazar, Kathmandu, near Padmakanya Campus

2. Chaitanya Institute of Management

Chaitanya’s Loksewa website lists civil service, banking, teacher service, health and security exam classes. This range gives you several course paths to check if you are still choosing your target post.

Choose a batch based on its syllabus. For example, ask which papers a Section Officer course covers. If you work during the day, get the weekly timetable before you enrol.

Before you join: Request the full course plan, names of subject teachers and test schedule. Confirm the branch and classroom address for your batch.

Contact number: 9865661482

3. Columbia Academy

Columbia Academy advertises physical and online classes. Its public course list includes teacher service and police exam courses. The website gives its address as New Baneshwor, Sankhamul Road, Kathmandu.

If you are exploring security or teacher service coaching, check the exact post first. A course for one exam may not cover another, even when some subjects overlap.

Before you join: Ask which written papers are included. For a security post, check whether physical or interview training is a separate service. Test the online lesson format if you plan to study from home.

Contact number: 9851095070

4. Name Institute

For public service exam classes, start with the NAME Loksewa platform, which identifies CEDEP Nepal as the provider. Ask the desk to direct you to the team that handles your target exam.

This step helps you reach the right course team. A general enquiry about NAME may not give you the timetable for a specific Loksewa batch.

Before you join: Share your post, level and preferred study language. Ask for a written list of the papers covered, the fee and the class location. Check who will mark your practice answers.

Contact number: 01-5331144

5. Wave Institute

Wave Institute’s course menu lists banking, public institution and technical exam options. The banking section includes major banks, while the technical menu includes sub-engineer courses.

If you want banking preparation classes in Kathmandu, compare the course with the syllabus of your chosen bank and level. Do not assume one banking package covers all posts in the same depth.

Before you join: Ask how much time goes to each paper. Check whether tests include both short questions and written answers where your exam requires them.

Contact number: 01-5357552

6. Apex Educational Academy

Apex Educational Academy describes courses for PSC, banks and public institutions. It names Nepal Telecom and Nepal Electricity Authority among the areas it serves.

This makes it worth checking when your exam needs a course built around a specific sector. Take your official syllabus with you and ask the team to show how the class plan covers it.

Before you join: Confirm your subject, level and service group. For a technical paper, ask to see sample problems and how teachers explain the steps in each answer.

Contact number: 01-4168485

7. WIT Nepal

WIT Nepal’s official app listing describes a focus on engineering and public service study. It lists digital mock tests, study resources and mobile access. The listing places the training institute in Putalisadak, Kathmandu.

Students seeking technical Loksewa preparation should check the course by branch and level. Civil and electrical posts, for example, need different subject content.

Before you join: Confirm that your course is active. Ask which lessons are live, which are recorded and how long access lasts. Check how you can get help with a difficult problem.

Contact number: 01-5345129

8. NIMS LokSewa Institute

NIMS Institute lists Loksewa courses for Kharidar, Nasu and Officer Level. Its site also names health, nursing, agriculture, banking and other exam areas. Its main contact address is in Bagbazar.

The wide course range is a reason to be precise when you call. Tell the desk your service group and level so it can share the correct batch details.

Before you join: Ask whether the class is for federal or provincial exams. Check that the notes match your syllabus and that practice tests cover your subject.

Contact number: 01-5319278

9. DIMA ACADEMY AND FOUNDATION

DIMA’s current website focuses on defence, security and Nepal Army cadet training. It describes both academic learning and physical training.

If you want a defence career, ask how its course covers each stage of your target exam. If your goal is Kharidar, Nasu or Section Officer, first confirm whether DIMA runs a batch for that post. Its defence focus alone does not confirm a civil service course.

Before you join: Request the course scope, written test plan and physical training schedule, where relevant. Check any entry rules in the official vacancy notice.

Contact number: 01-4241350

10. NICE-National Institute for Competitive Exams

NICE’s learning platform lists Kharidar, Nasu, Section Officer, banking and security courses. Its notices describe physical and online classes. It also offers mock tests through its student system.

Look at the package details before you compare fees. A full course and a single-paper course can have different prices, access periods and class hours.

Before you join: Confirm your teaching language, paper coverage and access period. Ask how to join online tests and where to get feedback on written work.

How to choose the right Loksewa coaching centre

Your best choice is the class that helps you close your own study gaps. Use these checks when you compare two or three institutes.

Start with your post and syllabus

Write down the post, level, service group and exam body. Then get the current syllabus from the Public Service Commission or the body named in your vacancy notice.

Match the course outline with that document. Ask the institute to explain any topic that is missing. Check both the first stage and later papers, where they apply.

At Sandhi, you can check the separate pages for Kharidar preparation, Nayab Subba classes and the Section Officer course. Choose the page for your post before asking about a batch.

Check the type of practice you will get

A mock test is useful when it shows what to improve. Ask to see a sample test and its answer review.

For multiple-choice questions, look for clear reasons behind the answers. For a written paper, ask whether a teacher marks your work. A score alone may not explain why your answer lost marks.

Try the lesson format

If a demo is available, attend it with one topic in mind. Notice whether you can follow the lesson, ask a question and use the notes later.

For an online class, test it on the phone or laptop you will use. Check the sound, text size and internet needs. Ask what happens if you miss a live lesson.

Compare the total cost and time

Include travel, data, books and test fees in your budget. A lower class fee may come with extra costs. A long journey can also reduce the time you have left for revision.

Ask for the fee, course length, access period and refund terms in writing. Keep a copy of the package details and your receipt.

Loksewa class fees in Kathmandu: what to compare

Fees vary by institute, post, paper and study mode. Check whether a price covers a full course, one paper or a short revision class.

For a clear starting point, these prices were displayed on Sandhi’s public website when this guide was researched on 27 September 2026:

Sandhi course	Displayed fee
Kharidar	NPR 17,000
NASU Day Class	NPR 17,000
Section Officer	NPR 30,000
RBB 5th Level	NPR 15,000

These are Sandhi’s listed prices, not an average for Kathmandu. The listing alone does not confirm the study mode, access period or all inclusions. Ask the academy for the current package before paying. Check the RBB 5th Level course if that is your target.

Use this short fee check when you contact any institute:

Does the price cover all the papers I need?
Are notes and mock tests included?
Will a teacher check my written answers?
How long can I use the recordings?
Are revision classes part of the fee?
What happens if the batch is delayed or I need to leave?

Online or physical Loksewa classes?

Both can work. Choose the format you can attend and use well each week.

Study mode	May suit you if…	Check before you pay
Physical classes	You need a fixed routine and can travel to class	Travel time, room size and chances to ask questions
Online classes	You work, live far away or need flexible study hours	Live or recorded format, access period and teacher support
A mix of both	You want classroom tests and lessons you can replay	Whether both parts are included in one fee

An app does not always mean live classes are included. A physical batch does not always include recordings. Ask about the exact package you plan to buy.

A simple shortlist sheet

Give each institute one point for each item you can confirm. Leave it blank if you have not checked it yet.

The course covers my exact syllabus and papers.
The class time fits my week.
I can follow the teacher’s sample lesson.
Tests match the format of my exam.
I will get useful feedback on my work.
The full cost and access period are clear.

This is a personal checklist, not a quality rating. Use your notes to choose which institute to visit next. If two options look equal, attend a demo at each and compare how well you learn.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best Loksewa institute in Kathmandu?

The right institute depends on your post, budget and study needs. Use the list above to compare course coverage, tests and teacher support. Sandhi Education Academy is one option in Bagbazar for civil service, banking and NEA study. Confirm the batch for your exact exam.

How much do Loksewa classes cost?

There is no single fee for all Loksewa classes. Full courses, paper-only classes and test packages can cost different amounts. The Sandhi examples above range from NPR 15,000 to NPR 30,000 for the four listed courses. Get a current quote for the package you need.

Can I prepare for Loksewa without coaching?

You can study on your own using the official syllabus, past papers and a steady plan. Coaching can help if you need a routine or feedback. In either case, set aside time to revise and solve questions. Our Loksewa exam preparation guide gives you a starting plan.

Which institute should I check for technical Loksewa exams?

Start by checking courses for your branch, level and target employer. WIT Nepal and Apex describe technical or public institution study options. Sandhi also lists NEA courses, including NEA 7th Level Electrical preparation. Confirm the syllabus and current batch with each provider.

Can one course cover banking and civil service exams?

Some topics may overlap, but do not assume the full papers are the same. Ask the institute to map its course to each exam you plan to take. You may need extra subject lessons or a separate paper package.

How do I check an institute’s success claims?

Ask which exam, year and post the claim refers to. Check the result against the relevant official notice. A photo or a large total by itself does not show how many students joined, sat the exam or passed.

Take the next step

Choose your exam first. Then shortlist two or three institutes, compare the same type of course and ask for a sample lesson. Keep daily revision and practice in your plan, whichever class you choose.
